Eurex Reports Strong June 2026 Growth Across Derivatives Markets

Eurex, Europe's major derivatives exchange, recorded significant trading gains in June 2026, with overall derivatives volumes climbing 32 percent compared to the previous year to reach 236.6 million contracts.

Equity derivatives emerged as the standout performer, surging 105 percent year-on-year. Trading volume jumped from 22.3 million contracts in June 2025 to 45.6 million contracts, driven primarily by Equity Trade Reporting Facilities. Eurex Repo, the electronic marketplace for secured funding, sustained its growth trajectory with average term-adjusted volumes rising 24 percent to 600.9 billion euros. The GC Pooling segment led this expansion, with volumes jumping 39 percent to 338.8 billion euros, while the broader Repo Segment grew more modestly at 9 percent.

Average daily cleared volumes in OTC Clearing also expanded substantially, increasing 39 percent year-on-year to 434 billion euros, with compression volumes climbing 88 percent to 259 billion euros.
